“I don’t understand why George hasn’t said ‘mommy’ or ‘daddy’ yet,” Cindy lamented. “He’s already five.”

Glinda and Hailey were looking over at George, who was on the floor playing on an iPad.

“Pow!” he said, and giggled.

“I’ve even downloaded a game for him to learn English,” Cindy continued. “He doesn’t seem to use it.”

“How much time does he spend on that machine?” Glinda asked.

“All the time,” Cindy said. “It keeps him from whining.”

“Are you sure he’s straight about who his mother is?” Hailey asked.
